Yesterday was dreadful. I haven't felt that sick in a long time. I have been battling a cold since before Thanksgiving. I thought that I was on the mend, and then I suddenly took a turn for the worse Wednesday afternoon. I ended up in the doctor's office yesterday and was able to get some medicine. The doctor thought maybe I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. It's amazing what a difference a day makes! I still do not feel all that well, but I can tell I am getting better. My poor husband ended up at the urgent care center last night because his throat was so sore that he wanted to get checked for Strep. Thankfully the results were negative. We went to bed early in hopes of getting a good night of sleep, but we both didn't sleep well at all. So he stayed home from work today and we are taking turns resting while the other one cares for the kids. I hope that we both feel better tomorrow. We still haven't gotten our Christmas tree and would like to do that this weekend. And there is laundry to do, grocery shopping, and projects around the house. I tend to become overwhelmed with all that needs to be done and is not getting done when someone is sick. Wouldn't it be awesome to push a pause button that would freeze time so that you could catch up with all you are behind on? Or you could be like Mary Poppins and snap your fingers to get things done? I like to fantasize about that sort of thing from time to time.
So now I am off to take a nap and hope that the rest will do my body good and help me further down the path to recovery.
